We are a family working on our project of a little goat farm. We are living in an abandoned place with interesting history where we are trying to bring a new spirit. We have about 25 goats, and we milk them once a day in the morning. Since 2018 official dairy production is estabilished here with mostly fresh goat cheese. We have also small vegetable garden and some fruit trees - just for our consumption. There are a lot of things to do - hey making, wood cutting, building, fences, garden and of course milk processing.
Jsme mladá rodina žijící a pracující na naší malé kozí farmě. Jsme na místě téměř zaniklé vesnice v historicky zajímavé oblasti, kterou se snažíme opět trochu zabydlet a přivést k životu. Naše stádo čítá kolem 25 koz, které v sezóně jednou denně dojíme. V roce 2018 jsme začali s oficiální produkcí mléčných výrobků - zejména čerstvých kozích sýrů. Dále tu máme malou zeleninovou zahradu a postupně dosazujeme ovocné stromy - úroda jen pro vlastní potřebu. Na práci je toho dost: pomoc se senem, příprava dříví, drobné stavby a opravy, ploty, práce na zahradě a samozřejmě zpracování mléka.

Staying on this farm was honestly one of the most beautiful experiences my boyfriend and I have had. The farm is surrounded by stunning nature, and Helena and Adam take such loving care of their home. We learned so much just by being there. They’re incredibly kind and open, showing us around, taking us mushroom picking and hiking, and making us feel completely at home. Their kids are full of life and curiosity, and the goats are absolutely hilarious. We got to watch the whole process of cheese-making and even learned how to milk the goats ourselves. If you want to learn about cheese and goat care, and be part of a warm, inspiring family, this is the place to be. You don’t just help out here. You connect, grow and carry a little piece of this place with you.

We had a wonderful time here. For us it was like being with friends. Since we have a 4 year old son with us one of us had to stay with him, I was a bit worried that we would 't be able to work as much as was expected, but Adam and Helena were super relaxed about it and understanding. It's a beautiful quiet place!!

My child and I had a wonderful experience at Horní chalupa for four days in May. They taught me how to milk the goats, and I also helped with painting, cleaning the stable, and some grass-cutting, and one time I made lunch :) We ate meals with their family and went on walks with Dáša the dog. It's a beautiful place to spend some time. Adam, Helena, Alfie, and David are a lovely and generous family, and the goats are very funny and cute.

The time at Helena's and Adam's Farm was wonderful, educational and relaxing for me.
They gave me a lot of insight into their work and everyday life and showed me their trust.
I was allowed to try milking goats, painting, was in the garden and often went for walks with Dáša.
In addition, I was able to watch the cheese being made and was out in the field with the goats.
The two of them put their heart and soul into their farm and I wish them, their family and the animals all the best. :)

Dva týdny strávené s Adamem, Helenou a klukama byly super! Cítila jsem se příjemně od prvního dne, přijatá do rodiny :), a taky jsme udělali kus práce. Za mě pecka! Pokoj prostornej a velmi pohodlnej.

Krásné prostředí, ta lehkost s kterou se podělí o nabité vědomosti a zkušenosti. Práce kolem koz a skládání dříví bylo hlavní náplní říjnové zkušenosti. Děkuji
