Dear Woofers, at 2015, we are working on our Project Herbal school near the sky. Our Farm is situated on a corner of Novohradske (Neustadt-Newcastle) Mountains of South Bohemia.
We plant herbals and vegetables in high organic quality and delivery them fresh or dry.
WE NEED YOUR HELP WITH collecting herbals and flowers on our field or in the pure nature, the care of the fields, etc. We are finishing now the drying room in our house. We are also looking for easy going helpers who would be willing to help us with gardening, to chop wood, construction, care, etc. In autumn we need help with an apple orchard, in spring and summer collecting flowers, help on fields, in the garden, etc.
We are family with 3 children and living in an old school which we would like to partially renovate. In the near future, we plan to turn this into an accommodation and dining facility with cooperation with a local organic farm which would to some extent supply itself. We closely cooperate with an organic farm where most of the work would take place; including taking care of and milking goats. A vital part of the school consists of a large garden which has been neglected for years. We will try our best to revitalize it to its original condition.
Milí Woofři, od roku 2013 žijeme v krásné staré škole na okraji Novohradských hor. Mimo našeho snu budovu revitalizovat, realizujeme farmu v pěstování a sběru bylin v BIO kvalitě, které používáme do čajových směsí.
Krom čajů distribujeme do hotelů a restaurací také dodáváme bio zeleninu.
Hledáme pohodové pomocníky, kteří se nebojí máknout na poli ve slunci větru a někdy i dešti :) a přitom si užít krásu čistého koutu přírody v malé osadě, kde je na kole či pěšky blízko do lesa.
Nase sezona začíná pomalu březnu/dubnu a končí v říjnu.
Vlétě je tady práce nejvíc.
Po práci na poli si woofi mohou zpříjemnit den pobytem na zahradě, koupelí v blízkém rybníku, či je dle možostí je rádi nasměrujeme na výlet do blízkého okolí, půjčíme kolo apod.
Chceme, aby dobrovolníci zažili opravdový život na farmě. V létě vstáváme brzy, v horku držíme siestu, pracujeme do západu slunce.
Práci se snažíme organizovat tak, aby byla pestrá a ne jednotvárná.
Bylinky a pěstování zeleniny jsou naší hlavní činností a pokud zrovna nneí jejich sezona, staráme se o jablečný sad starých odrůd, pole a zahradu, kterou máme certifikovanou jako BIO a která doplňuje náš bylinkový sortiment. Více o nás na

School is situated in a small settlement called Desky, near of village Malonty in beautiful landscape of Novohradske Hory (Mountains in South Bohemia). Desky are ca 30km far from historic town Český Krumlov, 20km from Nové Hrady, 35km from České Budějovic

Toto bola moja prvá skúsenosť s WWOOF. U Hanky a Karola som bola viac ako týždeň a bol to skutočne nádherne strávený čas. Hanka a Karol sú veľmi super spolu s ich deťmi. Hanka je skvelá kuchárka a Karol výborný hospodár. Som veľmi rada, že ma vzali k sebe na farmu. Prvé dni som trhala lipu a neskôr som trhala burinu, zbierala orechy či ríbezle. Naučila som sa veľa nových vecí, napríklad ako robiť sirupy alebo ktoré rastlinky sa dajú jesť. Videla som veľa krásnych miest, hlavne čo sa týka nádhernej prírody. Týchto približne 10 dní bolo proste úžasných a rada by som k nim opäť niekdy zavítala na farmu.

Hana and Karol are really nice and caring people, I could learn a lot about sustainable farming on a small scale, but also enjoyed learning a little bit about the local area and getting in touch with some locals. Planting crops and collecting herbs in the middle of nature were very nice and calming tasks; we also built a greenhouse, made wild garlic pesto, or had other small tasks to do in-between, so the work did not lack in variety. There always was a good balance between work and free time. I totally recommend this experience!

My stay with Hana and Karol was shaped by COVID. First I had it and was not able to come to their place and then the whole family got infected. Even with this as a complication I had a very nice stay. They made sure I really had everything I needed and Hana cooked some very nice vegan food for me, which was super sweet. I liked to explore the surrounding area and work was never to hard. Thank you for welcoming me in such a nice way. I can recommend visiting this nice place and to get to know Karol and Hana.

My friend and me learned so much on the Farm of Hana and Karol. But not just the farming style, also the way of living on a czech farm, in a czech family. I think Wwoofing is a wonderful method to get a very deep insight in the culture and of course in the farming style. It was a pleasure for us to help the family on the farm.

This was a really nice wwoof stay for me and I can really recommend it to anyone. the field on which a lot of the work will take place is located on top of a hill with a really nice view of the surroundings. the family was really welcoming and kind

Týden v bylinkové škole byl báječný, plný nových zážitků, přátelství a i nových dovedností k naučení. Díky úžasným hostitelům a věřím, že jsem rozhodně nebyl naposledy :-)
