The farm has approx. 75ha of arable land, 6ha of meadows and 2ha of forest, in the 160 masl. The lands are dispersed in the wide valley, which was formed by river Ohře. There are many lowland forest with poplars, ashes, oaks and other typical trees. The soils are very diverse from sandy to clay. A big percentage of the arable land is for cereals (wheat, oats, barley, triticale and rye). I cultivate also 1 ha of vegebables which needs a lot of hand labour. I am selling the vegetables to CSA groups in Prague. I also grow oil plants like poppy and charlock and also trying to grow flowers for decoration use. I have small orchard as well. The farm is located in an old farm house and consists of a living house and stables. I store here machines and hay. To process grains I am renting a storage in a village. Wwoofers are welcome to help on the vegetable field : weeding, planting, harvesting.. But when is a harvest, grains have a priority. I gave a small mill for personal use in the kitchen. I use to bake bread, sometimes also more sophisticated things :) The region is also called The Bohemia garden for its fertility. It is inhabited for very long time so there are many historical sights you can visit during your stay. Statek obhospodařuje cca 75ha orné půdy, cca 6ha luk a cca 2ha lesa v nadmořské výšce cca 160m. Olejniny v osevním postupu zastupuje mák a hořčice. Zkouším v malé míře polní květiny k řezu. Koupil jsem malý ovocný sad. Samotný statek či dvůr je soubor více než 100 let starých budov postavených do čtverce. Tvoří ho obytný dům, stodoly a 2 chlévy. Sklizené obilí čistíme ve skladu v sousední vesnici. Pořídil jsem si i malý mlýnek. Pro svoji potřebu semelu mouku, a pak peču chléb. Občas, když mám chuť, náladu a odvahu se pustím i do pečení něčeho náročnějšího s výsledkem nejistým. . Pomoc s : Pletí, jednocení, okopávání, plečkování a sklízení zeleniny, olejnin, brambor a ovoce čištění obilí, pomoc kolem domu. Certifications: ABcert Internet access available

My stay with Karel was my first WWOOF experience, and it was fantastic. I enjoyed working with him and his friendly team. We were mainly harvesting summer grains, vegetables, and fruits. But we also cleared a fallen tree from the field and he showed me how to take care of the cats, chickens, ducks and geese. We cooked fresh meals using what we gathered, and Karel was always thoughtful—he even made dumplings when I mentioned I liked them. He genuinely cared about making me feel comfortable and welcome. I’d absolutely recommend staying with Karel to anyone looking for a genuine and rewarding WWOOF experience.

t was my first time WWOOFING and it was optimal for me. I would stay longer... Interesting, varied work with great sensitivity to my abilities and needs. The accommodation was simple and sensitive to my needs. Karel made proper efforts to share with me, teach me and give me the feeling that I am at home, welcome, useful. I hope I have made a friend and I would like to come back and visit this man at this farm. highly recommend.

Very good host ! I recommend Karel, with whom I had discussed very interesting. And his family agricultural farm where I was able to experience a new job.
