Staying on this farm was honestly one of the most beautiful experiences my boyfriend and I have had. The farm is surrounded by stunning nature, and Helena and Adam take such loving care of their home. We learned so much just by being there. They’re incredibly kind and open, showing us around, taking us mushroom picking and hiking, and making us feel completely at home. Their kids are full of life and curiosity, and the goats are absolutely hilarious. We got to watch the whole process of cheese-making and even learned how to milk the goats ourselves. If you want to learn about cheese and goat care, and be part of a warm, inspiring family, this is the place to be. You don’t just help out here. You connect, grow and carry a little piece of this place with you.

A nice small family-farm located in a very beautiful scenery of a national park. During my stay, there were cows, horses, chickens, pet-bunnies, cats and a friendly dog. The crops are: fruit trees, herbs, and all sorts of vegetables. The accommodation is in cabins. The cabin is equipped with a sink, shower (hot water), kitchenette and an electric heater. There is an outdoor-composting toilet. The groceries are provided by the host. The hosts are vegetarian and treat their animals accordingly. There are very good bus-connections with Prague.

We spent about a week with our three kids in the community at Preserved Seed Farm, and it was a very special experience. The community was in the middle of a big construction push to finish an extension to the main house, which kept them busy from early morning until late at night, yet they welcomed us warmly. They immediately helped us settle in, found a place for our RV, and encouraged us to join at our own rhythm. Our days were a mix of homeschooling with the kids and lending a hand where we could, without any pressure to work, even during such a busy period. We had the chance to explore different areas that interested us—gardening, kitchen work, and even milking animals. Sometimes we worked as a group, other times individually, which gave everyone the opportunity to learn and contribute in their own way. We also appreciated the openness of the community. Discussions around religion happened naturally and candidly, without any pressure, and we never felt confronted with gender-role expectations that others have mentioned in reviews. In fact, they were pleasantly surprised that my wife was a gardener, and she quickly became more involved and took on responsibilities in the gardens as the week went on. Overall, we definitely recommend visiting the farm, meeting the community, and spending time with them. All of us enjoyed the experience, and we even reconnected with some members afterward at their store and at the market.

The family is very friendly and welcoming, they explained everything to me (how to do my tasks) and gave me plenty of time to finish them. There's always something to do at the farm, I mostly helped with collecting vegetables, seeds and other greens, while also helping with maintaining of their huge property. It was a great experience :)

Mezi Lesy is a genuine off-grid family farm on a hill. I had a great time helping out with all kinds of jobs—picking plums, apples, and Cornelian cherries; doing metalwork; feeding the animals; helping with paving; and washing lots of dishes. The food and cakes were tasty and there was always plenty. The place to sleep was basic: just a mattress on the floor, an outdoor compost toilet, and a cold shower. I also really enjoyed playing with their daughter, Berenika. She made the stay even more fun and special.

I had unforgettable experience with Michaela, Justin and their family. How they manage their farm, how they treat the animals and their land are incredible. I was so lucky to live there and learning a lot from them about "live in harmony with nature and follow its laws, the relationship with it becomes more balanced". On the farm, for example, when we manage it in line with nature's rhythms, nature gives back generally - through the growth of animals, the harvest of fruits and vegetables, and the abundance of the land itself. Their horses and cows have their names, they are basically the family members. They've been passing many knowledges about herbs and mushroom as well, I was happy to be involved in on all their projects, big and small, even their daughters has been sharing knowledge and passions on different subjects related to farming, plants, food etc. What's more, they provided me the peaceful space for practicing yoga and meditation, and I can be there with my own time schedule; Route for hiking; Places to visit in Prague.... Thanks again for their host and generosity, I'll be returning back!! All the best!

I spent 2 weeks in August on Justin and Michaela's farm, and it was wonderful. I helped with milking the cow, and looking after the chickens, as well as planting for the winter, and general tending of the farm. Justin and Michaela and their daughters were so kind and welcoming, and generous and relaxed. I swam a lot in the nearby lake and went on hikes around the area which Michaela recommended and helped me out with. Staying in the cabin was a lovely experience and my time on the farm completely outdid my expectations. They have a beautiful and relaxed way of life, and take care of their farm in an inspiring way. Thank you to them!!!

I‘ve had pretty nice couple days on their place! You will do the daily chores like feeding the animals, and most likely David (maybe Anna) will have you do something different during the day. I did welding, chopping wood and trees, butchering ;) they will always ask you if you are okay with the work and look after you! It’s a self sufficient farm that doesn’t produce for selling, so don’t expect efficiency, the work is about helping and clearing your mind, not for reaching a production goal!

My stay with Karel was my first WWOOF experience, and it was fantastic. I enjoyed working with him and his friendly team. We were mainly harvesting summer grains, vegetables, and fruits. But we also cleared a fallen tree from the field and he showed me how to take care of the cats, chickens, ducks and geese. We cooked fresh meals using what we gathered, and Karel was always thoughtful—he even made dumplings when I mentioned I liked them. He genuinely cared about making me feel comfortable and welcome. I’d absolutely recommend staying with Karel to anyone looking for a genuine and rewarding WWOOF experience.

I spent 3 days with Andrej at his nice house. I had fun and meaningful time with him - we created a wooden shelf, sowed seeds, did some digging in the garden and mounted a wooden door. He has a lot of tools for wood working and other crafts. I stayed in my own floor - patio/upstairs, which was accessible by a ladder. We also went for a walk in the surrounding nature and we attended a local event- a concert in a nearby village. Andrej kindly lent me one of his bikes. We had some nice talks with Andrej about interesting topics - biking, sustainability, traffic in cities, etc. I learned about Andrej's house - how he built it, the fotovoltaic technology etc- which was useful for me, because I am also thinking about some sustainable/independent house. I appreciated good communication with Andrej - we could both share our expectations about everything and we found a solution, all was relaxed. Thank you for this experience Andrej (it was my first time to do WOOFING).

I spent two wonderful weeks in Písek — picking cherries that we prepared for the winder, and helping with the early stages of a futur building project. Tom gave me a variety of small, clear tasks, and the family welcomed me warmly, making sure I felt comfortable, even though most of the projects were still in their early beginnings and I lived quite rustically in the small cottage. Even though I lacked experience and technical knowledge, I still felt like I was able to contribute in a meaningful way. I learned a lot about this beautiful culture and region, which is still very connected to its ancestral and folkloric roots. I would have happily stayed longer to discover more. Now I'm leaving behind this "Beginning of the world* to start building my own, full of inspiration. I'm deeply grateful to this energetic family with their beautiful projects, and I sincerely wish them — wish you, Tom, Kamila and Ladislav — every success. Warmly, Célia from Switzerland

This was my first experience WWOOFing - and I loved every part of it! Eva welcomed me by picking me up at the train station in Rokycany, which I appreciated a lot, after 10 hours on the train. I spent 10 days with her and her sweet and happy dog Roura. She had been away for some time so there was plenty to do in the garden, like clearing weeds around the property. I also helped her to clean out the cabin that was in the middle of the garden. One day we went for a small hike to a small mountain nearby and picked blueberries. Immediately after she baked a cake. And that is what she did, always taking care of everything that the nature offers. During these 10 days, I had one day off and went to explore the city of Pilsen. All the time Eva treated me VERY kindly and cooked two meals every day and we had some cool wine in the evenings. It felt like an all-inclusive adventure! She also invited me to her friends and arranged a barbecue which I truly felt included in. Much of the time we worked together and in between still she managed to cook, manage the business with her art etc. TRULY IMPRESSING! All in all, it was a memorable experience and I also felt that the work I did was very meaningful. I will continue doing this type of vacation since it has all I want, learning about cultures and local people Thank you so much Eva, it was both an adventure and a pleasure!
